A team of seven ringers went to Harty on the evening of the 2nd November. Conditions looked "perfect" as the night was still, dark and clear. We only put up five nets across the two pools as we were a small team. We caught 59 birds.
- 35 Dunln including one retrap from earlier this year
- 15 Redshank
- 5 Knot
- 2 Black-tailed Godwit
- 1 Bar-tailed Godwit
- 1 Starling
There was a large Redshank with a wing of 184mm that is now colour ringed. Hopefully that will be seen in Iceland in the future! We also had a large billed Black-tailed Godwit that we thought was maybe limosa rather than an islandica.
