In near perfect conditions, a COVID-secure team of six caught 73 birds at Harty.
Colour-ringed Black-tailed GodwitThe catch comprised:
- 29 Dunlin plus 1 retrap (all but three were juvenile); 3 of these had very short bills
- 27 Redshank (13 adults and 14 juveniles)
- 6 Knot 6 (all juveniles)
- 5 Black-tailed Godwit 5 (all adults); these were colour-ringed as part of the ongoing project
- 3 Bar-tailed Godwit 3 (all juveniles)
- 1 Grey Plover (adult)
- 1 Shelduck (juvenile)
Four of the five Black-tailed Godwits were recorded at the next high tide at Oare.
