A team of 8 ringers went to Harty when the high tide was at 20 minutes past midnight and caught 22 birds. The strong moon although restricting the catch added to the atmosphere of a very still and warm evening.
The following birds were caught:
- Ringed Plover - 1 adult and 1 juvenile (probably both Tundra sub species)
- Dunlin - 2 (both juveniles)
- Knot - 1 juvenile
- Bar-tailed Godwit - 4 juveniles plus a retrap from 2007 that had previously been retrapped in 2009
- Curlew - 1 juvenile
- Whimbrel - 1 juvenile
- Redshank - 8 half of which were adults, plus a one year old retrap
- Snipe - 1 adult
The Whimbrel will be the last for this season. Snipe are unusual and often only caught later in the year.
