On an evening with a nice early tide when conditions for ringing were not ideal - there was a steady westerly of about 8-10 mph blowing and a big moon that was only partly obscured by cloud - a successful catch was made. We managed to catch 51 birds of just 4 species, whilst the total catch was nice the variety was disappointing.
We caught the following:
- Grey Plover 1 (an adult)
- Dunlin 45 (plus 2 retraps that were ringed at Harty on 23rd October 2014)
- Bar-tailed Godwit 2 (1 adult female and 1 juvenile male)
- Curlew 1 (a juvenile)
