A post Covid team of 10 enjoyed another successful session on the Swale at Harty. Conditions were good with no wind and cloud masking the moon. We caught 62 birds.
The catch comprised:
- 38 Redshank (including 1 retrap) - 10 of which were colour ringed
- 7 Dunlin
- 6 Whimbrel
- 3 Turnstone
- 2 Curlew (including 1 retrap)
- 2 Bar-tailed Godwit
- 1 Black-tailed Godwit
- 1 Grey Plover (a aretrap)
- 1 Shelduck
- 1 Moorhen
Of the retraps, the Curlew was ringed at Shellness in July 2006; the Grey Plover ringed at Harty in August 2008 and the Redshank ringed at Herty in October 2014.
