Submit a Lapwing colour-ring sighting
For the Elmley Lapwing monitoring project we are using a unique combination of colour rings to identify each bird. On the left leg, all birds have a blue 'flag' above the knee and a coloured ring over a BTO metal ring below the knee. On the right leg there is a coloured ring above the knee and a coloured ring over a green ring below the knee. Each of the three variable colour rings may be yellow, red, white, orange, blue, green or lime.
